On May 18, 2024, we’ll be joining our friends around the world to raise awareness of porphyria and advocate for greater access to diagnosis and treatment.

1. Turn Canada #PurpleforPorphyria

On Saturday, May 18th invite your colleagues and friends to wear purple for porphyria. Share your photos with the hashtag #PurpleforPorphyria #globalporphyriaawarenessday #porphyriacanada #porphyria #myporphyria

In Canada, many of our landmarks will be turning purple too! From Science World in Vancouver to the Grande Roue de Montreal, the PEI Legislature to the to the High Level Bridge in Edmonton more than 80 Canadian buildings, bridges and monuments will be purple on May 18, 2024 with more being added weekly.

2. Participate in the #MyPorphyria Campaign

The #MyPorphyria awareness campaign launches on May 18th and you can be a part of it!

Porphyria is so much more than a list of symptoms. Each and every porphyria patient is unique and has their own story. #MyPorphyria provides the patients’ perspective on their porphyria.

3. Join Us for Hope Jam 2024

Supporters in Tofield, AB are hosting a fundraiser for the Canadian Association for Porphyria!

Join us for Hope Jam 2024 on May 11th at the Tofield Hotel in Tofield, Alberta! The evening kicks off with a silent auction and meal at 5pm, followed by live music from Mozzi Halo starting at 9pm, all in support of The Canadian Association for Porphyria. Admission is just $15. See you there!
